The International Thespian Society (ITS) has been recognizing Middle and High School level Thespians since 1929. As a division of the Educational Theater Association, over 2.3 million Thespians have been inducted as of 2017.

The ITS has personally recognized 11 NWCTA students for their outstanding theater work. Through various competitions and productions, seven students were recognized as Thespians, and four students as Honor Thespians. They are as follows:

 

Thespian:

-Megan Gilgallon

-Kimberly Gonzalez

-Domario Lomax (Class of 2017)

-Celyna Lucero (Class of 2017)

-Landin Shank (Class of 2017)

 

Honor Thespian:

-Crisann Begley-Smith (Class of 2017)

-Haley Bain (Class of 2017)

-Andrew Hulin (Class of 2017)

-Audrey Radef (Class of 2017)

My name is Paige Lawrie, and I am the current Editor-and-Chief of the Hawk’s Eye Online. I have written with the experience not only of an editor and field journalist, but as a writer for the American Red Cross. I am involved in Student Council, NHS, theater, and I am enrolled in NWCTA’s culinary program. My interests include writing both creatively and journalistically, photography, and service work. I am writing for the Hawk’s Eye Online as it allows students the opportunity to represent Northwest in their spreading of information and student influence and activities. I hope to pursue communication and public relations beyond my high school education.
